1. Who we are

SYNTERNEX LTD is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. We are a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17437894, with our registered office at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ. We build autonomous intelligence infrastructure and digital products, including Kerbie, an urban mobility and parking intelligence application.

2. What data we collect

We collect different categories of data depending on how you interact with our services:

• Website visitors: We do not currently use tracking cookies or analytics on synternex.com. No personal data is collected simply by visiting this website.
• Contact form submissions: When you submit our contact form, we collect your name, email address, organisation, and message. This data is processed by Web3Forms and delivered to our team inbox.
• Newsletter subscribers: If you subscribe via the "Follow the build" form, we collect your email address. This is processed by Web3Forms and used solely to send you occasional project updates.
• Kerbie app users: Kerbie collects location data (for parking intelligence features), account credentials (email address and password hash), parking session data, and in-app actions. Full details are available in the Kerbie app privacy policy, accessible within the app.

3. How we use your data

• Contact form data is used solely to respond to your enquiry. We do not add you to marketing lists without explicit consent.
• Newsletter subscriber data is used solely to send the occasional updates you signed up for. We do not share this list with third parties, and you may unsubscribe at any time.
• Kerbie app data is used to provide the parking intelligence service, improve our confidence engine, and (in anonymised, aggregated form) build the Synternex intelligence layer. Personal data is never sold to third parties.
• Intelligence generated from Kerbie interactions is anonymised before it enters the Synternex knowledge graph. No personal identifiers are retained in the intelligence layer.

4. Legal basis for processing (UK GDPR)

• Legitimate interests — responding to enquiries you have initiated.
• Contract performance — providing the Kerbie service to registered users.
• Consent — for newsletter subscriptions, and any other case where we have specifically asked for and received your agreement.

5. Data retention

Contact form enquiries are retained by us for up to 12 months from the date of last correspondence. Our contact-form processor, Web3Forms, separately retains a copy of each submission on its own systems for up to 3 years before automatic deletion, under its own retention policy. Kerbie account data is retained for the duration of your account. On account deletion, personal identifiers are removed; anonymised intelligence data is retained in aggregated form as described above.

6. Your rights under UK GDPR

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request erasure of your personal data
• Object to or restrict processing of your data
• Data portability where technically feasible
• Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk

7. Third-party services

• Web3Forms — processes contact form submissions. Subject to their own privacy policy. Web3Forms is operated by Web3Creative (India), with infrastructure sub-processors including AWS and other providers based in the United States. Where this involves a transfer of your data outside the UK, it is protected by the Standard Contractual Clauses together with the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
• Stripe — processes payments for Kerbie subscriptions. Stripe is PCI-DSS compliant and subject to their own privacy policy.
• Google Fonts — this website loads fonts from Google's CDN, which may log your IP address. We intend to migrate to self-hosted fonts to eliminate this dependency.
• Railway / Vercel — infrastructure providers for hosting our backend and web applications.

8. Cookies

This website (synternex.com) does not currently set any cookies. If we introduce analytics or functionality requiring cookies in future, we will update this policy and provide an appropriate consent mechanism.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services evolve. Material changes will be noted with a revised "last updated" date at the top of this page.
